Q: Love the new Lucky Dips music video – how did you come up with the concept for it?
Eve-Yasmine: Thank you so much Mark!

Casablanca-based music producer Jewlz had sent me the beat back in 2019. I had just returned from my first solo trip to Los Angeles.. The idea for the song came to me while I was stuck on the rush hour train returning home after my first day back at my day job & a routine I hated. When I went to record with Stylez J who engineered this track, I was like I wanna rap on this verse and he encouraged me to go for it!

As an indie artist I constantly spend ‘everything I have’ on my projects, go broke, then work hard again then invest again what I save back into my music haha. THE HUSTLE NEVER STOPS!

Lucky Dips is also inspired by the childhood sweet filled party bag, the one where you don’t know what you’ll get inside until you dip your hand in! Representing that trial and error, not knowing what’s next but dipping your feet into new waters.

I wanted the music video to represent getting inside a creative’s head – the dark areas, the busy idea filled spaces and the colourful fun journey.

Last Summer I had shot with photographer Neon Portz at Pop Golf UK – an amazing mini golf course very local to me inside Box Park Wembley. They’ve been so supportive and it was brilliant to shoot the music video there directed by Montecarlo Dream.

MsLawrensky & Kim Stark co-choreographed it and we had so much fun. I love the energy they brought to this – girl squad energy!

Q: Describe your fashion style? A badass rainbow.
I love concept driven outfits for my songs and music videos.

Q: What can you tell us about your lead role in ‘Ganapath’: Coincidentally all my character names in acting projects I have done recently start with the letter ‘S’ – it really seems to be a sign for me! My character for Ganapath is called Sue – I am at the beginning of the movie…I can’t reveal too much but keep an eye out for me!

Last year I worked on 2 of Bollywood Star Tiger Shroff’s films including one where I am one of the lead dancers – Heropanti 2 is out on my birthday April 29th!

Q: So what’s next?: I’m currently rehearsing for a play called ‘Allah’s Own Country’ – I am starring as ‘Saira’ for a one off performance at the renowned cultural arts venue Rich Mix in Shoreditch on April 1st.

This year I want to focus on music & movies. I have more releases lined up, more songs written waiting to be recorded and a positive mindset ready so I am determined to find the funding so I can bring these goals to fruition.

An album will happen, I will make sure of it. I took a break from recording due to my ear condition – hyperacousis and as a result got back into acting resulting in my biggest achievement to date my movie debut as ‘Stella’ in ‘Main Viyah Nahi Karona Tere Naal’ currently in it’s 4th week in cinemas worldwide!

I believe everything happens for a reason and I can’t wait to see which door opens next.
