Movie legend Harrison Ford confirmed make his television debut
Harrison Ford is set to make his debut as a cast member in an ongoing television series in the upcoming program Shrinking, alongside Jason Segel.
The 79-year-old star will team up with be starring alongside Forgetting Sarah Marshal actor Jason Segel.
The program is being produced for the Apple TV+ streaming platform and will premiere on the service at an unspecified date in the future.

Shrinking will follow a grieving therapist named Jimmy, portrayed by the How I Met Your Mother star, as he adopts a new approach to his practice by telling his clients exactly how he feels about their troubles.
In doing so, the character begins to make major changes to both his life and the lives of the people he services.
Ford is set to portray Dr. Phil Rhodes, a therapist who has become well-known for his honest takes on his clients’ situations.
The character shares a practice with Jimmy and fellow therapist Gaby, who learned many of their techniques under his tutelage.

Dr. Rhodes is also dealing with Parkinson’s disease, and he is forced to deal with the changes in the people around him that occur as a result of his condition.
Shrinking will be written and co-produced by Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, the former of whom also helped to launch Ted Lasso.
Segel is currently set to fill the same roles while also starring in the forthcoming program.
Shrinking will run for a total of ten episodes and it will premiere on the Apple TV+ streaming service at an unspecified date in the future.

The program will also mark the first time that Ford will serve as a cast member in an ongoing show in his nearly six-decade career as an actor.
The performer’s television roles have largely been limited to guest spots on shows that aired during the 1960s and 1970s.

The upcoming show is based on the miniseries of the same name, which is centered on the trial of novelist Michael Peterson and aired on both Canal+ and Netflix.
The writer was accused of murdering his second wife, Kathleen, in 2001 and eventually entered an Alford plea in 2017.
Ford joined the cast of the program in 2019 and remained with the project for two years before dropping out in March of 2021.
