I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here will return to Australia this year,.
The 2020 series of I’m A Celebrity was the first to swap its usual Australian location for Gwrych Castle in the Welsh countryside due to the pandemic.
The show returned last year, airing live every night on ITV from the castle throughout November and December.
But now ITV are hopeful the series will finally return Down Under for 2022.
Ant & Dec confirmed they were all set to go back to Australia.
Ant revealed: “The plan is, we’re going back to Australia, we don’t want to go elsewhere. It’s got to go back to it. Back to its spiritual home, back to where it all started.
“Everyone wants to see a bit of sunshine at that time of year on the telly.”
Dec quipped: “If they’ll let us in the country, we’ll be back in.
“We had two lovely years in Wales, we really enjoyed our time in Wales, but this show has to be in Australia, we have to go back.”
Although the plan is to return to Australia, it was previously claimed that I’m A Celebrity bosses have already got an option in place to return to the castle for a third series if needed.
As on the regular series, the Welsh-based series sees the celebrities undertake gruelling trials and fun-filled challenges to win food and treats in the lead up to one of them being crowned King or Queen of the Castle.
It was Emmerdale actor Danny Miller who won the latest series, beating actor Simon Gregson who finished as runner up, and third placed singer & Loose Women panellist Frankie Bridge.
Other celebs who took part in last year’s show included football star David Ginola, radio DJ Snoochie Shy, gold medal winning Paralympian Kadeena Cox and broadcaster Louise Minchin.
Joining them are TV host Richard Madeley, Strictly star & choreographer Arlene Phillips, musician and producer Naughty Boy, actor Adam Woodyatt and Olympic diver Matty Lee.
You can catch up on the show via ITV Hub.
