“Performing in front of such a huge audience at Wembley was a dream come true, I love the energy and buzz in Clubs but at the Festival it was different – seeing everyone in the crowd really jumping up and down to Dub Love Me was an amazing feeling, singing it to them and seeing the crowd dance like that I was thinking ‘this is how music brings people together’ and then I was like ‘I wrote this song!’.

Jasmine June is a refreshingly original singer-songwriter, she possesses a uniquely beautiful ability to sing punchy floating lyrics with her sweet but strong voice, which might have something to do with the fact that she is a classically trained singer.  Not one for being satisfied by just one type of music, she pours her two loves, dance music and singing, into a melting pot.   Her heartfelt song-writing skills take on an uplifting edge, making her catchy melodies instantly memorable;

“I love writing music because I know if I feel it in my heart first then I am pretty sure someone else will feel it too.  Writing songs, whether it is in a popular or a more conventional style, for me, at the end of the day they are always heartfelt. I studied popular music at the British Academy of New Music and I continue my studies as a Soprano, but both disciplines continue to influence my songwriting.  My inspiration comes from all avenues, from a personal experience to an observation and how I feel about it, to putting myself in somebody else’s shoes.  My writing is always connected to me on some level.”

Jasmine June, real name Natasha Hardy, is also currently working on several different projects including operatic vocals on a Ferrari advert with award winning producer Stephen Wakeling (Qritikal Media/Drive Productions), writing top-lines for Frilla Beats, and after her recent appearance in Robert Carsens’ production of ‘Dialogues Des Carmelites’ at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, she is now also composing new material for her classical crossover E.P which will be under her real name Natasha Hardy.

“The E.P that I am currently working on has classical and dance influences; I am very excited about this project.  With the amazing technology we have now, it is so much easier to realise my ideas than it was 10 years ago.  this E.P. will finally be the beginning of a new journey where I am writing the kind of songs that I have always dreamed of making.  I can’t wait for you to hear it!”

“Dub Love Me” is Released on Peachie Recordings on 24th November.
