Chart topping boyband One Direction can add yet another achievement to their list as it has been revealed that they dominated the biggest Twitter trends of this year.
The social networking site has just released the information, which shows that 3 of the Top 5 retweeted messages were by members of the group.
A photograph of heartthrob Harry Styles sleeping, which was originally tweeted by bandmate Zayn Malik, was retweeted 344,000 times, Malik’s tweet thanking fans for the congratulatory messages regarding his engagement to Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards was shared a staggering 336,000 times by fans, and Niall Horan’s birthday tweet, which read “Yesss! I’m 20! Wohooo ! No more teens!”, was retweeted no less than 375,000 times in total.
