Born in Sydney, Australia, Renée Bourke landed her first acting job when she was just aged 2; a television commercial for Buddy-L Toys.
Throughout her school years, if Renée wasn’t training or competing in gymnastics, she was performing in plays, featuring in commercials, or guest starring in TV Shows. After picking up dancing along the way, a 15 year old Renee landed her first musical; playing the role of Dream Laurie in a local Sydney production of Oklahoma! She then went on to appear as a show girl in Monty Python’s Spamalot, then dance captain in a Sydney production of The Boy From Oz (unfortunately, not the one starring Hugh Jackman).

Amongst her tumbling, dancing, and musicals, Renée kept at the screen acting scene, attending classes every Monday at the Sydney Talent Company; the company that ended up representing her for 13 years of her acting career. She then landed a lead role in her first feature film, Charlotte.
In 2006, Renée auditioned for the newest Disneyland park to open, in Hong Kong, and was lucky enough to be selected for a face character contract. After renewing her Disney contract for a second season, she then moved back to Sydney to immediately start working for the world famous Children’s entertainment group, The Wiggles! Renée also joined a new Agency, and continued her screen training at Screenwise; where Chris Hemsworth also trained. Her TV credits now included Series 1 of the US Crime Series Dark Temptations, CNNNN, Home and Away, Life Support, Australia’s Most Wanted, and All Saints.
In 2010, it was time to make the move to London to further her acting career! Upon arriving, she booked a pantomime, Aladdin, and went on a south UK tour over Christmas. With London’s strong theatre scene, Renée had an opportunity to rekindle her love for it, starring in Rope Swings & A Playwright’s Nightmare at Jermyn Street Theatre (West End), Mary Hatch Bailey in a stage adaptation of the beloved Christmas classic It’s A Wonderful Life. Renée then toured the UK with CBBC’s In the Night Garden – Live!, then most recently completed the major UK Tour with Dinosaur Zoo – Live!
With ample opportunity and places to go in this vast entertainment industry, Renée began to develop her career in Presenting, training with Hollywood’s Marki Costello in LA. When she came back to London, she worked alongside MarkMeets presenter Greedy Mo for the popular UK showbiz site., where Renée took on the role of reviewing albums, interviewing celebrities, and covering red carpet arrivals. “A very talented actress and host. I know Renee will be a huge success” – MarkMeets Media
To expand her repertoire even more, last year Renée decided to write and produce her first short film, Across the Pond, which premiered at Olympia Film Festival in Washington November last year, and most recently screened at North Hollywood Cinefest in March 2016. Renée was invited to attend Noho Cinefest, and got to experience being on the other side of the red carpet; being the interviewee.
Renée is now back in Sydney before she makes the move more permanently to Hollywood. “Renee was a pleasure to work with and a natural on the red carpet” – MarkMeets
We wish her all the best!
