The Shake It Off star has beaten Emma Watson, Beyonce and Miley Cyrus to be named the top do-gooder of 2014 by US-based philanthropy Dosomething.org. It is the third continuous year she has gotten the honor from the non-benefit association, a title which she has held since 2012.

The 25-year-old artist was picked in light of the fact that she gave all the returns from her single, Welcome To New York, to New York City state funded schools, reported Us Weekly.

Orange Is The New Black performing artist Laverne Cox took second place. Her part as transgender prisoner Sophia Burset in the Netflix jail dramatization has empowered her to turn into a voice for the LGBT group.

Beyonce came in third, in front of Miley and Emma, who round out the main five. Both Beyonce and Emma, an UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, were regarded for bringing “woman’s rights to the bleeding edge”, while Bangerz artist Miley earned distinguishment for sparkling a light on homelessness, in the wake of bringing homeless adolescent Jesse Helt to the MTV Vmas in August.

One Direction barely passed up a great opportunity for a spot in the main five, as they took sixth spot.

Different stars who were named in the main 20 incorporate Chris Pratt (whose March Of Dimes discourse about his child’s untimely conception circulated around the web), Olivia Wilde (who helped to establish the magnanimous Conscious Commerce) and Justin Bieber, who has allowed more than 200 wishes for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

John Legend, 12 Years A Slave star Lupita Nyong’o, Kerry Washington and The Mindy Project inventor Mindy Kaling were additionally regarded.
