The Huntsman movie UK press conference interviews

The Huntsman (2016) UK Film Conference and MarkMeets were invited along to Mayfair’s prestigious Claridge’s Hotel to see what Emily Blunt, Chris Hemsworth, Rob Brydon, Nick Frost and Alex Roach had to say.

In one of the videos you see Emily asks Chris Hemsworth: “There’s a wonderful tone with to this film. It’s got that lovely air of comedy to it. How important is that for you?” — Watch Chris’s answer, as he discusses “Lighter in tone and greater sense of adventure”, and much more.

When asked about her role choices at present, Blunt explained what she looks for when picking out characters:

“I do obviously try and pick characters that are empowered in some way and are complicated and are hard to pin down. I don’t want to be pigeon-holed as one thing and this character for me was in a way quite vulnerable and emotionally a bit unhinged as a villain and that was really appealing.”

Reprising his role from the first film, Frost joked about not having to base his character on anything new while Brydon spoke about his involvement in the script:

“On set, Cedric was very open to ideas and add-ons. There are several moments in the film when we improvised what he likes and went with. So in that sense it was lovely, if you had an idea for a little flourish or beat that you thought would add some lightness then you could put it in.”

Meanwhile Chris Hemsworth took the time though to talk about some of his old cast members, particularly our former Snow White, Kristen Stewart: “Kristen Stewart was fantastic and helped set up this world we’re delving in. I’d love to work with her again and if we had the opportunity to pick up that story again I think there’s a lot of room for different versions of what we’ve already done”.
