Eiza, who plays EMT Cam Thompson in the film, told Byrdie last year, “When I’m doing a role, I really like to immerse myself in it, so I would have loved to ride in an ambulance for a minute, but at the moment this is impossible.

‘It was the first time in my life that I had to kind of work around that to prepare for a role because everyone in the role I’m preparing for is busy in real life – there’s no way to talk to doctors or paramedics because they ‘are all busy.’

She continued: “Even getting ambulances was really difficult, so I hired a motorhome to get used to the pace of the ambulance – you know, crazy stuff like that.

“But I’ve been able to connect with amazing people who are literally saving lives every minute, and it’s so inspiring. It gives me a lot of leverage because I’m going to get to thinking, ‘Wow, I gotta really honor them. I gotta do this really well.’ ‘
