The Best PC Games of 2022

If you want to use your computer for fun, you have many options: you can subscribe to a streaming service and do binge-watching.

You can check out the best live roulette offers on the Australian market and try your luck. Or, you can choose a PC game and go on an adventure, as millions of players worldwide do. If you can’t decide which game to choose for this, don’t worry: below, we’re sharing a “best of” list that we’ve compiled based on many factors, including Metacritic scores, player communities, and our own experience: these were the best games released in 2022.

Elden Ring

If a game is created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin, it’s normal to expect a lot from it. Elden Ring did not disappoint and became one of the best-selling and highest-rated games since its release. As in all Miyazaki games, you start here “naked” and step into a world full of dangers from the very first moment. This is not an experience that holds your hand: five minutes after you start playing, you may come across a boss much stronger than you and die. But one thing is for sure, Elden Ring will be one of the most satisfying games you’ve played in recent years.

God of War

God of War, after remaining a PlayStation-exclusive title for many years, has come to the PC platform with renewed graphics. In the game, we control an old Kratos who has somehow managed to start a family. But our fate remains the same: our family is not permanent, and in a very short time we are left with nothing but a young child. We go on a journey with our son and fight for hours and solve puzzles towards a certain goal: you have to play the game to find out what that goal is. If you like action-RPG games played from a third-person perspective, God of War alone sets the standards for this genre.

Rogue Legacy 2

Rogue Legacy 2 is a difficult game to describe: in a way, it’s a 2D platform title because you jump over obstacles and fight different enemies on each level while collecting treasure. On the other hand, it is a rogue-lite game because the maps change regularly and when your character dies, you can continue to play with their children. Every character you play is unique and has different skills: that means their gameplay is also different. Rogue Legacy 2 has an atmosphere reminiscent of old NES games and offers a lot of fun gameplay: you should definitely check it out if you want to try something different.

Death Stranding: Director’s Cut

Hideo Kojima is one of the legendary names in the game industry and the creator of the Metal Gear series that every gamer knows. Death Stranding is the first game Kojima has created since leaving Konami, and it looks as original as ever. It is difficult to describe the game in one sentence: you can think of it as a walking simulator set in an open world. But it also includes elements of action, stealth, exploration, and adventure. Its story, like all Kojima games, is cinematic, creative, and compelling: it deserves to be played just to experience the story. The Director’s Cut version of the game includes many new features such as quality of life improvements and DLSS 2.3.7 support.

Stray

If you are tired of the classic PC games and want to try something really creative, you should definitely check out Stray because in this game you control a cat. You navigate a cyberpunk world full of robots, solving simple puzzles and trying to figure out where humanity has disappeared to. And once again, you’re still a cat while doing all this. Stray has short but catchy gameplay and may be the cutest & most innovative game of recent times. We’re sure you’ve never played a game where you control a cat: here’s your chance.
