Movie actor Daniel Radcliffe talks about growing up whilst shooting the Harry Potter movies.
The star said: “There’s an assumption that people make where if you’ve grown up on a set, surely you must be tired of that or want to go somewhere else” .

“But actually, I’ve never known anything but being on film sets and I love them. They are places of immense comfort and familiarity.
“I hope I get to die on one. Honestly. [Though] later rather than sooner,” he added to The Guardian.
Radcliffe – who famously appeared naked on stage in Peter Shaffer’s Equus and played an orphaned outsider in The Cripple of Inishmaan – can currently be seen in beat generation film Kill Your Darlings as poet Allen Ginsberg.
New film ‘Kill Your Darlings’ follows a group of creatives as they plot a literary revolution, and reaches its climax with the infamous murder of David Kammerer.
“I can’t put it down to anything more than that I’ve got weird taste,” he said of his eclectic choice of roles:
“There have been plenty of weird roles so far, and more to come, I hope. I pick films based on scripts and directors and parts.”
Kill Your Darlings is a 2013 American-British biographical drama film directed by John Krokidas in his feature film directorial debut. The film had its world premiere at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival garnering positive first reactions. It was shown at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.
In 2008, while performing the Broadway play Equus, Daniel Radcliffe auditioned and got the part of Allen Ginsberg. Radcliffe went on to film the last two Harry Potter films, Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2, and with him unavailable for filming, Chris Evans, Jesse Eisenberg, and Ben Whishaw were cast without Radcliffe.
Shortly after, financing for the film fell through. When director John Krokidas started production on the film again, he offered the role of Allen Ginsberg back to Radcliffe.
Kill Your Darlings opens in the UK Dec 6th with a planned limited release in the US.
