Dave Bautista Joins ‘Knives Out’ Sequel

Whilst details to the casting of the Knives Out’ Sequel are being kept under wraps, here at MarkMeets Movies we have been informed that Dave Bautista in in talks to join Daniel Craig in Rian Johnson’s Knives Out sequel.

The studded whodunit anchored by Daniel Craig’s enigmatic Southern detective, Benoit Blanc will see Johnson return to direct and is also producing with Ram Bergman under their T-Street banner. The movie is set to start shooting this summer in Greece. (MRC, which co-owns THR via a joint venture with Penske Media, is an investor in T-Street.)

Netflix declined to comment on the casting.

Daniel Craig joined stars including Chris Evans, Ana de Armas , Jamie Lee Curtis , Michael Shannon and Toni Collette in the first movie which grossed over $311m worldwide.

Knives Out was released via Lionsgate in 2019, garnering an Oscar nomination and $311.4 million at the box office on a $40 million budget. In a massive $469 million deal, Netflix won the rights to two sequels and a readymade franchise.

Bautista, repped by CAA and Jackoway Austen, will soon be seen in Netflix’s Zack Snyder feature Army of the Dead. His upcoming credits include Dune and the third Guardians of the Galaxy film.
