James Buckley discusses his role in the movie, the world cup and more as we chat to him on the red carpet in London.

He said: ‘Because I’m known for playing Jay it’s a character that people would like to go for a drink with apparently!

Talking about the movie trailer, James recently said: ‘People have been very nice about this which is great, but we were all a bit worried because there are no good jokes in this one. They’re just all sort of off the cuff Jay remarks. The big gags are only ever going to be funny once and we didn’t want to spoil the film, like they did with the Hangover films!’

The promo sees the central quartet Will, Simon, Jay and Neil head to Australia, “the sex capital of the world”, for a gap year adventure down under.

Cast members Simon Bird,, Joe Thomas, Blake Harrison and James Buckley are all returning for the follow-up, while TV series creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris are writing and directing. Emily Berrington, Freddie Stroma and David Field are new cast additions.

The Inbetweeners 2 is released on the 6th August.
