“Ashlea is fresh new talent ready for 2015 – Mark Boardman
‘Let You Go´ is about how experiences shape who we become, especially first experiences, which we rarely forget and which hold a place deep in our hearts and minds. I chose to shoot the video in a school environment as this is where most of us experience a lot of things for the first time. In the video I break into the head teacher´s office and find some keys, I then go with my friends and start dancing in the gym, surrounded by lights. I like to think that this signifies how, breaking the rules can sometimes be a good thing, and you may just find the key to where you want to be.
I believe it´s important to surround ourselves with people that make us happy, things that we love doing, and go to places that inspire us… So essentially the meaning of the story is ¨Go do what you love, push boundaries, live how you want to live, have amazing experiences which you´ll want to never let go of…’ Ashea
