The final day of Bestival got off to big start with ‘Dub Pistols’ kicking things off on the main stage.
The blend of Ska, big beats and drum and bass was loud enough to wake anyone out of the cumulative 3 day hangover being suffered from.
Crowd favourite ‘Cyclone’ got everyone moving as this band cemented their credentials as a sure fire festival favourite for many more years to come.
After a patch of rain the notorious ‘Boy Better Know’ took to the stage. The collective features JME, Skepta, Solo 45, Jammer, Frisco, Shorty and Maximum playing their distinctive breed of grime. The crowd skanked throughout the entire set, especially to hit track ‘Too many man’.
Straight after BBK were ‘The Jacksons’ who played to a massive crowd as the sun set on the main stage. The legendary hit makers put in an emotional performance as they showed footage of them playing with their late brother Michael. The crowd soaked up the disco-motown sound with our highlight definitely being ‘ABC’.
By this point the rain was starting to trickle down over the festival, so after a brief stop off back at the Jagerhaus to drown our sorrows it was straight back out to the main stage for the eagerly anticipated ‘Missy Elliot’. Much had been said about festival organiser Rob Da Banks efforts to secure Missy playing this years bestival and after 3 times of increasing the offer for her services, she accepted and it was money well spent. Hit track ‘Get ur freak on’ could make even the wettest reveller forget the rain as Missy ended this years Bestival 2015 with trademark swagger.
