Ellie Goulding recalls her career highlights

‘Burn’ singer Ellie Goulding has has an incredible run of succees and the star ha now opened up on her career highlights from ‘Performing with Taylor Swift and Katy Perry’

Ellie said that performing alongside some of the female solo artists she looked up to before finding her own success has been incredible and has given her memories that will last a lifetime.

Speaking to Enews about what she would consider to be a career highlight so far, she explained that playing music with Taylor Swift and pop songstress Katy Perry was amazing and she will never forget it:

“Performing with Taylor Swift and Katy Perry… just being able to meet and get advice from people I looked up to for a really long time since before I was known as a singer.”

Goulding also opened up about the time she met Beyoncé, who told her she liked her music: “I was just walking back from something at the Brits and she was on her way to perform and she said she was a fan. I think I was so overwhelmed that I just forgot about it, but then I remembered it the other day and was like, ‘Damn, that was the coolest thing ever.'”

However, the singer reckons she hasn’t always been so squeaky clean and very nearly went down a very different path as she took drugs as a teenager as part of a rebellious stage that could have seen her go down a very different path indeed.

“I very nearly did go down that path, I was a bit of a rebel when I was 14,” the 27-year-old says in an upcoming documentary.

“People would call me a goth. I had long black hair, piercings and I liked heavy metal music.
