‘Wanted On Voyage’ was released last October where it became the third-biggest selling artist album of 2014.

Ezra’s debut LP has sold 72,000 copies in the last seven days and is now back at No. 1 for it’s third non-consecutive week.

Last week’s No. 1 album, ‘X’ by Ed Sheeran, is now down one to No. 2.

Completing this week’s top five is Sam Smith’s ‘In The Lonely Hour’ down one to No. 3, Taylor Swift’s ‘1989’ up three to No. 4, and Paloma Faith’s ‘A Perfect Contradiction’ rises four places to No. 5.

Reaching a personal record on this week’s album chart are British guitar heroes Status Quo. The rock band have now reached their 500th week on the UK chart with their ‘Aquostic (Stripped Bare)’ sitting at No. 34.

Status Quo are one of only 50 acts who have charted for 500 weeks or more in music history. Queen hold the record for most weeks in the chart with 1457 weeks, while The Beatles (1406 weeks) and Elvis Presley (1364 weeks) come in at second and third place respectively.

Meanwhile in the singles chart: Mark Ronson sets another new streaming record as ‘Uptown Funk’ stays at No. 1

‘Uptown Funk’ by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars is enjoying it’s third non-consecutive week at the top of the UK singles chart.

The funky track, taken from Ronson’s forthcoming ‘Uptown Special’ album, has reached 156,000 sales this week and smashed it’s own streaming record.

Last week, ‘Uptown Funk’ was streamed 2.49 million times – a new benchmark for the number of plays of a single song in seven days. This week, ‘Uptown Funk’ has received 2.56 million plays.

At No. 2 this week is a new entry from Philip George with his debut release ‘Wish You Were Mine’, which samples Stevie Wonder’s ‘My Cherie Amour’.

The rest of this week’s top five is made up by Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’, a non-mover, at No. 3, Ben Haenow’s ‘Something I Need’ is down two to No. 4, and Taylor Swift is down one with ‘Blank Space’ at No. 5.

Besides ‘Wish You Were Mine’ there is only one other new entry to this week’s Top 40. New in at No. 35 is Kanye West featuring Paul McCartney with ‘Only One’ – a song written from the perspective of the rapper’s late mother.
