Glynne achieved her first No. 1 solo single with ‘Hold My Hand’ last week and has managed to keep Ed Sheeran from the top spot by selling a further 80,000 units, including 1.62 million streams.

Vocal talent has previously featured on two other No. 1 hits – Clean Bandit’s ‘Rather Be’ and Route 94’s ‘My Love’.

‘Bloodstream’ by Ed Sheeran and Rudimental has climbed from No. 24 to No. 2 but was 5000 sales short of knocking Jess Glynne from her chart peak.

Completing this week’s top five is James Bay with ‘Hold Back The River’ down one to No. 3, ‘King’ by Years & Years down one to No. 4, and ‘Uptown Funk’ by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars up three to No. 5.

New entries to this week’s Top 40 come from Dappy with ‘Beautiful Me’ at No. 19, ‘Seasons’ by Olly Murs at No. 34, ‘Cheerleader’ by OMI at No. 37, and former X Factor contestant Luke Friend at No. 40 with his debut single ‘Hole In My Heart’.
