“X-Factor” winner Joe McElderry today (Monday18th November) kicks of the Christmas singles release with his version of Wonderful Dream (Holidays Are Coming) – this version of the song was the basis for the award winning Coca Cola TV commercial.
This time the canny singer has decided to release alongside his new management, Touchstone Media, as an exclusive Christmas track and thank you to his fans for their continued support and loyalty over the last four years.
The song was written by: Julien Nairolf, Ben Naftali, Richard Airis, Mitchell Lennox, Terry Coffey, John Nettlesbey & Melanie Thornton. McElderry’s version was recorded only week ago in London and was produced by producer Martin Jay. On backing vocals is 70’s disco queen, Tina Charles of “I Love To Love” fame
Critics are already saying that with McElderry’s massive following, the track could do well this Christmas.
The exclusive track is designed to keep his fans happy before embarking on a mammoth UK tour in early in 2014. Over 55 dates have been booked for his “Set Your Soul Alive Tour” which kicks off in Billingham on 1st March. Tickets are now on sale and more dates are to be added to the tour soon.
McElderry is currently in the studio writing and recording a new album. No other details are available at this time.
This Christmas, McElderry can be seen in Panto for the first time ever. He will be starring as the Prince in the magical family pantomime ‘Cinderella’ at The Beck Theatre in Hayes. Tickets are now on sale from the box office: www.becktheatre.org.uk.
