Joji Album ‘SMITHEREENS’ | MarkMeets Music News

Joji released their most recent album ‘SMITHEREENS’ last month and is looking forward to Christmas.

The MarkMeets rising star returns to the fray, laying out plans for a blockbuster new project alongside a scintillating piece of music.

‘SMITHEREENS’ was the follow up to Joji’s 2020 breakout moment ‘Nectar’, which boasted the worldwide hit single ‘Glimpse Of Us’.

Expectations were high for Joji’s new work pre-loaunch and fans lapped it up, heaping praise on the star. New single ‘YUKON (INTERLUDE)’ is online now, and it eases fans into this new creative realm.

Smithereens also includes “Yukon (Interlude),” a new song released in August. The single was written and produced by Joji, alongside Isaac Sleator, and it’s released alongside a music video directed by the duo BRTHR – Joji’s first music video appearance in almost two years.

The Japan-born singer and producer released his debut album Ballads in 2018, and released Nectar in 2020. His sophomore album contained his hit singles “Run” and “Sanctuary.”

The full video – Joji’s first in two years – is also online now, helmed by long-time collaborators BRTHR, who have worked with pinkpantheress, Lana Del Rey, The Weeknd, and more.
