Liam Gallagher Shares Moving New ‘Too Good For Giving Up’ Music Video

Liam Gallagher has shared the moving new video for ‘Too Good For Giving Up’.

The song is a true centrepiece on his recent No. 1 album, and has become a key element of his potent live shows. Fresh from a historic weekend in Knebworth, Liam Gallagher drops the bombast a little for this moving new video.

Out now, the song deals with those darker moments, when it feels as though life is simply overwhelming. ‘Too Good For Giving Up’ finds Liam singing: “Remember you belong here as much as anyone / Even when you’re just about to break.”

David Jonsson stars in the video, which was built in collaboration with men’s mental health charity Talk Club. The actor carries a doppelgänger, his burden becoming all too clear – even the simplest of tasks are rendered impossible, a metaphor for mental health issues.

Liam comments: “We all know someone affected by suicide which sadly seems to be at an all-time high. I’ve lost many people far too early and it’s important to talk. I’m really pleased to be able to help in anyway with this song and will be partnering with Talk Club on my track ‘Too Good For Giving Up’ LG x.”

“Suicide is the biggest killer of men under 50. And Liam is a hero to many of that generation. So to be collaborating with him on something that raises the awareness of Talk Club, and gets men talking and improving their mental fitness, will save lives.”

‘Too Good For Giving Up LYRICS

Take a step, watch the groundRise to meet your feet somehowWhen all that you are just ain’t enoughThe universe will provideA guiding hand, a crack of lightYou’re too good for giving up
Imposters and counterfeitsSo-called lowlifes, sound misfitsReclaim your shame and dress it up in loveTomorrow’s waiting down the lineIt’s getting late, but there’s still timeYou’re too good for giving up
Look how far you’ve comeStronger than the damage doneStep out of the darkness unafraidRemember you belongHere as much as anyoneEven when you’re just about to break
Sitting by a bedside lightThe lonely guard, the unseen nightEver further from their God aboveLet your silence make a soundAll that’s lost can still be foundYou’re too good for giving up
Let your silence make a soundAll that’s lost can still be foundYou’re too good for giving up
Look how far you’ve comeStronger than the damage doneStep out of the darkness unafraidRemember you belongHere as much as anyoneEven when you’re just about to break
Take a step, watch the groundRise to meet your feet somehowWhen all that you are just ain’t enoughThe universe will provideA guiding hand, a crack of lightYou’re too good for giving upThe universe will provideA guiding hand, a crack of lightYou’re too good for giving up
