Falling around 5700 copies short of the top spot this week is Avicii with ‘Hey Brother’ which climbs six places to reach No. 2.

This week’s top five is completed by Ellie Goulding’s ‘How Long Will I Love You’ which has risen by two positions.
Further chart-climbing activity comes from Chase and Status featuring Jacob Banks with ‘Alive’ up 20 spots to reach No. 28, Kid Ink and Chris Brown are up ten places to No. 35 with ‘Show Me’, Sub Focus’ ‘Time’ is now up 49 places and sits at No. 36, and Wham!’s festive classic ‘Last Christmas’ is at No. 40, having risen by four places.
This week’s highest-charting new entry is Justin Bieber’s ‘Confident’ featuring Chance The Rapper at No. 33.
Robbie Williams has returned to the top of the UK album chart with ‘Swings Both Ways’.
‘Swings Both Ways’ originally debuted at No. 1 four weeks ago and acquired the honour of being the 1000th chart topping album in the UK. But a week later he was dethroned by One Direction’s ‘Midnight Memories’.
The two British acts’ fortunes have now been reversed with Williams out-selling One Direction by around 5000 copies this week, which now leaves ‘Midnight Memories’ at No. 2.
Gary Barlow is a non-mover at No. 3 with ‘Since I Saw You Last’. Another album staying put is Olly Murs’ ‘Right Place Right Time’ at No. 4.
‘Beyoncé’ – the surprise album release – has stormed straight to No. 5 after only being available for 48 hours. Beyoncé’s self-titled fifth album has managed to shift 68,000 copies following its sudden and unannounced digital release on December 13.
