Matt Cardle has hit back at fellow X Factor star James Arthur’s latest digs, and described the 2012 winner as a “deeply unpleasant” man.
Arthur recently described Cardle’s material as “music for bedwetters” and said Matt would send his fans to sleep if he hired him as a support act.
Cardle responded by saying he “couldn’t care less” what Arthur said.
Cardle said: “I’m not going to put an end to this once and for all. I don’t think there is going to be an end to this.
“The guy is deeply unpleasant from what I can gather. He has ripped into me in the past.
“He has been ripping me for about a year now. We had crossed words a year ago, he hasn’t dropped it.”
Matt added: “The guy’s ego is off the scale and that’s all I’ll say about him. I have nothing else to say about James Arthur.”
Cardle is to release his third album Porcelain later this year.
He recently released his single You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You.
