McBusted got close to One Direction on tour

McBusted have been discussing their time on tour with One Direction.

The boyband joked about how close they had became with the 1D lads while sharing a single dressing room.

Matt Willis said: “I think Niall [Horan] was a bit fascinated about how we’re all in the same dressing room.

“How we’d fit!”

James Bourne added: “We don’t have individual rooms or individual riders.

“We arrive together, we leave together, we change together, we shower together.”

Speaking to Andi Peters, the lads also spoke about being supported by the Backstreet Boys.

Dougie Poynter said: “[Nick Carter] was my first crush, they were my first everything.”

Willis added that he feels like the father figure in the band, due to the ages of the rest.

Wilis said: “Literally every day, I have to pick up James because he [lives] the closest to my house.

“I have to get James out of bed every single day… It could be 2.30 in the afternoon and I still have to get him out of bed!”

Matt Willis reckoned that while it’s tempting to be in the spotlight on your own, it’s not really as appealing as it seems: “I think band members think that the grass is greener. The grass is not greener.”
