Nick Jonas talks about his next album out 2016.

US ‘Chains’ singer Nick Jonas has revealed that his next solo record might be released early next year.

Former Jonas Brothers star confessed that he isn’t rushing the project and it will drop when he’s ready to share it, but it’s looking like it might have a spring 2016 release date.

“The timeline is up in the air. It’s whatever is right. We released “Levels” and put the video out, and I just threw up another song on Soundcloud the other day just for fun. That was a nice thing to do to throw things off in a moment of inspiration. The idea is to get it right. There’s a lot of music I’m really proud of on this next thing, and I want to release it when it’s right.”

When pushed for a more specific timeframe, the heartthrob told Forbes that he’s thinking about early 2016: “In my mind that probably looks something like early next year. It makes sense to release the full album, but I’m also not afraid to just put something out if it speaks to what I’m going through in my life.”

Jonas then talked about how this new album might be different from his solo debut, adding: “I think the biggest difference is that I’ve really tried to tap into things that are relevant to me in what has been one of the craziest years of my life. There’s a lot of songs about real life shit that I think is important to speak about.

Nick Jonas admits he isn’t really ready for a serious girlfriend right now but going on that journey is tough as an artist, as you have to be transparent about things that make you uncomfortable, but it’s also a very freeing experience, and one that can be viewed as really beautiful.”
