One Direction’s ‘Made in the A.M.’ has achieved platinum status in the UK

One Direction’s latest album has achieved platinum status in the UK.

The 4 piece group made up of Harry, Niall, Liam and Louis released their fifth record ‘Made in the A.M.’ late last year.

Not it has been confirmed that the album has gone platinum in the UK.

This means that it has sold 300,000 units in the country.

Tracks including Drag Me Down and Perfect ahev gone on to achieve international chart success.

All of One Direction’s four other albums are multi-platinum in the UK.

Their 2011 debut ‘Up All Night’ and 2012’s ‘Take Me Home’ are 3x platinum.

The band, however, won’t be touring ‘Made in the A.M.’.

Instead, they are now on a lengthy hiatus to take a break after releasing five albums in five years.
