Taylor Swift’s smash hit album ‘1989’ has now gone three times platinum in the UK.
The singer released the record in 2014 and it has sold bucketloads ever since.
It was confirmed by the British Phonographic Industry confirmed that the album is now three times platinum. Woo hoo. Congrats TAYLOR!!
This means it has sold over 900,000 units in the country alone.
Rod Stewart’s 2012 festive effort ‘Merry Christmas, Baby’ has also been certified two times platinum in the UK.
Elvis Presley and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s ‘If I Can Dream’, released earlier this year, has also gone two times platinum.
In the US meanwhile, Brit Ed Sheeran has just seen his 2014 record ‘x’ go double platinum.
Taylor Swift was the only musician in any genre to earn a Triple Platinum certification in 2012.
