The latest shows on sale include the last ever performance of Arthur Smith’s rare, critically acclaimed and bittersweet journey through his late mother’s struggle with dementia, Oh Hazel.
The announcement comes in the wake of BBC Comic Relief’s Voices For Dementia Twitter takeover, which has shone fresh light on the issue which makes this show so poignant and hilarious.
Arthur Smith said: ‘Oh Hazel’ is a show that will never be done again in this form after this performance. In it, accompanied by pianist Kirsty Newton, I read from the diary my mother kept as she was assailed by grief and the beginnings of dementia. It is, despite its subjects, hugely funny.
He will be joined by some of the most singularly skilled stand-ups in the country, including the genius behind BBC Radio 4’s Life: An Idiot’s Guide, Stephen K Amos and queens of comedy cabaret, Frisky & While comedy fans will be treated Luisa Omielan’s inimitable, character-driven, observational storytelling, Luisa herself was looking forward to getting reacquainted with the fans, saying: SO happy to be back at the udder of things on the Southbank, Udderbelly is my favourite party venue on March at 10am.

FitzHigham will also moonlight as judge in improv comedy-court This Is Your Trial which pits some of the country’s top comedians against each other in a battle of deduction, rhetoric, wit and willy jokes, as they seek to prove or disprove charges against you, the audience.
Others to join the line-up include regular Udderbelly residents , improv comedy rap machine Abandoman, and sozzled soubrettes S**t-faced Shakespeare.
Master of puppets Paul Zerdin will also return to the South Bank, as will master musical comic Jay Foreman, acerbic counter-culture commentator David Mills, ukulele trailblazers Ukeclear Power and some of London’s finest spoken word proponents on the same bill in Tongue Fu.
