This was her first BRIT Award win, and she struggled to hold back her tears when she took the stage.

During her acceptance speech, she said: “I just want to say, this was fan-voted for and in the two weeks that people could vote for I have never been so heart-warmed and touched by all of my fans who just wanted to see me do well and support me.

“Thank you so much for making this a possibility for me.”

She told us “It’s pretty crazy, you know? I’m really trying not to take any anti-anxiety pills and result to drinking excessive amounts,”

She was presented the award by legendary DJ’s Pete Tong and David Guetta.

Here at MarkMeets we have met the star on numerous occassions and always had a good chat with the star. Our founder Mark Boardman said “She is amazing. I’m going to have a drink with her – thank you for telling me. That’s actually made my night.”

Becky Hill says she’s about to drop “another great dance collaboration”.

Hill also told us how much she loved playing to the predominantly rock crowd while performing at Reading & Leeds last year.

“I’ve done the dance tent for a few years in a row and it was really nice to do the main stage,” she said. “That was incredible for me. It really felt like a step up in my career and the crowd really turned out for me as well – that was pretty amazing.”

When asked if she had summer festival plans, Hill joked, “I bloody hope so, because otherwise, I won’t have any money!”

Before heading into the ceremony, she teased “another great dance collaboration” telling press that she’d just completed the music video for a new single in Cape Town that would be dropping on February 25. She also told us she’s currently working on another album set for release in 2023.
