This year’s X Factor winner’s single will raise for money Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity and Together For Short Lives.
The track will be performed by two singers during the live final at Wembley Arena and will then be released digitally on the same day (December 15).
Released on CD will be in stores on December 18 (1 full week before xmas day). The single will be the sixth charity release from The X Factor
MarkMeets’ were told that “100% of the profits of CD sales and downloads will be split between the two charities” by Syco Entertainment.
“Both Together for Short Lives and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity are really important charities. Every day they do inspiring work and help a load of kids and their families, all of which need their expertise and support,” said Cowell.
“I have been lucky enough to see first-hand the great work that both of these charities do and I am thrilled that we can do something to help by donating the sales of The X Factor winner’s single to them both. Thank you in advance to everyone who will help.”
Previous charity singles from the ITV talent show have included James Arthur’s cover of ‘Impossible’, the 2011 group single ‘Wishing On A Star’ and covers of David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’, Michael Jackson’s ‘You Are Not Alone’ and Mariah Carey’s ‘Hero’.
