You wake up and your chest is already tight. Your mind’s racing, even though nothing has actually gone wrong yet. That constant hum of worry just sits there, ruining your focus, your mood, and sometimes your whole day. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. And while it’s not always possible to make anxiety disappear completely, there are a few simple things that really can help you handle it a bit better.

You’ve probably heard people mention it already, and it’s not just hype. CBD can help calm that overwhelming feeling that anxiety brings. It won’t knock you out or make you feel strange, but it can take that edge off when your thoughts won’t stop spiraling. Some people take it in the morning, others just when things feel like too much. Either way, it’s one of the easiest things to try if you’re feeling anxious all the time.
Focus on how you’re breathing
This one sounds basic, but honestly, it helps. When you’re anxious, your breathing gets quick and shallow without you even noticing. That makes everything worse. Try this next time you feel off. Sit down, close your eyes, and take a slow breath in through your nose. Count to four as you breathe in, hold it for a few seconds, then let it out slowly. Anxiety grows when you keep it all in. Talking to someone about it can feel awkward at first, but it makes a difference. You don’t need to have some big deep conversation. Even saying, “I feel really on edge today” to a friend or family member can help you feel less stuck. If talking’s not your thing, writing it out works too. Grab a notebook or open a blank note on your phone and just write what’s in your head. No filter, no structure, no rules. Just get it out.
Cut back on what makes it worse
Sometimes we accidentally make anxiety harder to deal with. Skipping meals, drinking too much coffee, scrolling for hours, or staying up way too late. It adds up. Start with something small. Maybe switch one coffee for water. Maybe turn your phone off thirty minutes earlier than usual. You don’t need to change everything overnight. Just doing one or two of these things can help you feel a bit more in control again.
