Metabolic Mentor Vince Pitstick Had to Battle Severe OCD in Childhood; His Recovery Changed His Life

Life is never a piece of cake. In fact, it’s an unbaked cake with a recipe scribbled on paper. You have a few ingredients available, but as you grow old, you have to scout for others in order to bake yourself a scrumptious cake. For Vince, the case was a little different; he not only had to find the ingredients but also the recipe. 

Vince grew up on a farm near Chicago, Illinois, so he knew the value of persistence and hard work. But his childhood was devoured of the learning environment every child needs. At the earliest age, he was diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, which features a pattern of unwanted thoughts and redundant fears coalesced into repetitive behaviors. A person suffering from OCD can show symptoms of anxiety, unease, and fear. 

But that’s not the end of the story. He also witnessed domestic violence at home, and his parents’ relationship eventually ended up in a divorce. Devastated, troubled child Vince in search of solace, fell into drug addiction and life became an uphill battle. 

However, probably, that was the last piece in the worst days of Vince. Once he set on a recovery, his life turned upside down. 

The skills he had learned on the farm kicked in. He hustled, and hustled, and hustled until he didn’t defeat OCD and drug addiction. After that, he pursued academic and professional experience in functional medicine. Having observed the health system closely, he strived to make the care better, effective, and compassionate for others. 

When he was offered to work at Metagenics as a functional medicine consultant, he worked there full of his spirit. Vince shared his experience with doctors and medical personnel from all around the world on different projects relating to functional medicine, nutrition, and healing tactics. The learning was aplenty. 

However, his dreams were beyond the corporate world. He had the vision to work for, and the corporate didn’t provide the luxury to pursue it. 

So, he quit the job to start his entrepreneurship career. He tried and failed for the first three times. Finally, Nutrition Dynamic proved to be a worthy company that stands a very profitable business to date. 

On top of that, he has four other ventures, all heading in one direction. Nuethix Formulations, his second company, is one of the fast-growing supplement businesses in the US. It did revenue of $4 million in 2021. The third of his businesses is a training institute named Metabolic Mentor University, in which Vince trains aspirant health coaches, dietitians, and health practitioners.

No doubt it took Vince some time to find the recipe that best suited him. But when he did find it, the world witnessed the emergence of one of the most successful entrepreneurs in modern history.
