Lucy Mecklenburgh blasts Gemma Collins weight

Former The Only Way Is Essex regular Lucy Mecklenburgh has criticised Gemma Collins for her “unhealthy” weight.

Having set up her own online fitness company called BootyCamp – she named her former TOWIE co-star when asked who she would most like to give a training session too.

Now mag quoted Lucy as saying: “I can remember when she [Collins] was a size 12-14 and had brown hair.

“She looked amazing and healthy.”

The 22-year-old went on to add: “I’ve got nothing against curvy women – I just think when you get over a size 16, it becomes unhealthy.”

Collins appeared in Tom Daley’s celebrity diving competition Splash! earlier this year, and admitted afterwards that she had been unable to shed any weight before taking part.

The reality star, who has confessed to suffering anxiety attacks as well as self-esteem issues regarding her weight, went on to design her own swimsuit for the show in an attempt to conceal her figure.

Asked how she thought Gemma might take her comments, Lucy told the magazine: “Let’s just say that Miss Gemma Collins is very headstrong.”
