Big Brother returns very soon and it will go head to head against the Britain’s Got Talent 2014 final in the ratings, it’s been revealed.
Channel 5 confirmed yesterday that the new series of BBUK will begin on Thursday 5th June.
The two part live launch will continue on the Friday, with both shows airing at 9PM before the series continues nightly.
But the earlier launch night (last year’s show started a week later on in the year) will see BB face off against the Britain’s Got Talent final at the weekend.
The exact details and timings of the BGT final haven’t been confirmed but will likely air on the Saturday from 7PM, with a total of ten acts performing and guest appearances from the likes of Cheryl Cole.
Unfortunately for Channel 5, BGT will be just the start of a competitive summer for the show.
The series will also have to face off against the World Cup, airing on both ITV and BBC, as well as Got To Dance on Sky1.
And The Apprentice is also due to return later on in the year, having been pushed back to after the World Cup on BBC One.
