Filming for the fifteenth series of the ITV talent competition started at the London Palladium almost two weeks ago.

Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) 2022 is just around the corner, finally returning to add a little razzle-dazzle to our Saturday nights after a two-year hiatus. The brand new series will air in the coming months following a break last year due to the coronavirus pandemic last year.

The four-piece have been reunited in the last couple of weeks as they filmed the audition stages for the 2022 edition of the ITV entertainment show.

How much prize money do BGT winners get?

The winner of this year’s BGT final will be handed no less than £250,000 in prize money, a sum that has stayed constant for several years.

Money is one thing, but the real jewel in the crown for BGT winners is the priceless slot at the Royal Variety Performance.

This is a televised variety show held annually to raise money for the Royal Variety Charity, of which Queen Elizabeth II is life patron.

Senior members of the Royal Family traditionally attend, although the Queen hasn’t been for several years. Most recently, Prince William and Kate Middleton were in the audience.

Who are the judges this year?

Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon return. The group posed for a picture at The London Palladium, where the auditions were held, for the last day of filming.

“Ten days of @bgt auditions complete,” Amanda shared alongside the post to her 1.8m followers last week.

‘Because BGT has been off our screens for some time, David is like a schoolboy in his first week back in class after the summer holidays, a source told Mark Meets TV.

It also marks Simon’s return to the judging panel after having to miss the last part of the 2020 series after undergoing surgery on his back after falling off an electric bike.

‘Simon obviously loves his outrageous behaviour and the fact they take the mickey out of one another, but even he seemed unimpressed with his latest joke.’. He is showing no signs of slowing down and is working on lots of American projects too.”

They added that David was spoken to about his humour after the first day of auditions but he appears to have taken it as a ‘challenge’ to be even naughtier.

‘He can’t resist showing off in front of the crowd, which people expect from the funnyman. But sometimes he can take things too far, and that’s just what’s happened this week.

Comedy singer Jon Courtenay who won the last series of the show in 2020.

The exact start date for season 15 has yet to be confirmed by ITV, but we can expect it to air sometime around mid-April, as was the case with the previous seasons.
