ITV The Voice Kids flooded with criticism over prize for winner

ITV The Voice Kids is a disgrace! The amazing talent should be rewarded better than a holiday. For god sake, Emma Willis probably got paid hundreds of thousands this series as did Mel C.

Torrin won a trip to Disneyland Paris to celebrate its 30th anniversary during the final on Wednesday night, host Emma Willis confirmed.

14-year old Torrin Cuthill from Oxfordshire was named the champion after her group’s performance of ‘Proud Mary’ in the Battle Round, and her solo performance of ‘Auld Lang Syne’ in the Grand Final.

Torrin was mentored by Spice Girl Melanie C in the competition, and the ‘I Turn to You’ hitmaker had nothing but nice things to say about the young singer.

However, ITV The Voice Kids has been flooded with criticism over the prize for winner Torrin.

Torrin won Disneyland Paris to celebrate its 30th anniversary during the final on Wednesday night, host Emma Willis confirmed.

And host Emma then shared: “Now before we reveal the name of our winner, I do have one very small announcement still to make and that is: whatever the result this evening, you will all be going to Disneyland Paris.”

The announcement of the prize – and then the announcement all four finalists would be going – left fans at home baffled.

“Wait so The Voice kids winner doesn’t get a record deal? They just get a trip to Disneyland Paris? #TheVoiceKids,” Stephanie asked.

Big Yourself Up News shared: “I watched The Voice Kids ’21 for the first time. Amazing to see the level of talent from the kids, however – the winning prize – a trip to Disneyland?

“How about a microphone kit, or a session at a recording studio, or perhaps a contract with a top talent agency? Why Disneyland?”

“Just seen that the prize for the winner of The Voice Kids was…a trip to to Disneyland? The best part is that apparently all the finalists got a trip to Disneyland so winning the show meant actual jack s***,” said Alex.
