Kyran Bracken has been voted off Dancing On Ice 2014

Last night’s live show saw the remaining five skaters all perform two routines including a solo routine.

Kyran Brackan, Ray Quinn, Hayley Tamaddon, Sam Attwater and Beth Tweddle all skated for the panel in a bid to get the marks to avoid the skate off and make the semi-finals.

After both routines, at the top of the leaderboard was Ray with a near-perfect 79.5 points while Beth Tweddle was at the bottom with a combined score of 65 points.

But as always the judges’ points were only half the story with the marks being combined with the results of the public vote.

In the second live show, hosts Christine Bleakley and Phillip Schofield revealed that with the fewest combined votes, Kyran and Sam would have to skate again.

It was the fourth time for both in the bottom two but for one it would be their last.

Kyran went first skating to Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol before Sam took to the ice again skating to Riverdance.

It was then over to the judges to decide which of the pair would go home and who would stay in the competition.

Karen Barber went first, saying: “You don’t make it easy but I’m saying Save.”

Ashley Roberts added: “That was a skate off boys, I’m saving Sam.”

Jason Gardiner declared: “Great DOI pedigree tonight but there can only be one winner and that for me is Sam.”

Head judge Robin Cousins concluded the vote by also saving Sam leaving Kyran to leave the competition.

Speaking after his exit, Kyran said: “All I can say is thanks for people keeping us in. I’m looking forward to the tour and good luck to the others, you’ve got some great skaters out there and it’s not a done deal who the winner is.”

The latest episode of Dancing On ice airs Sunday night on ITV.
