Princess Anne ‘will be watching’ Mike Tindall on I’m A Celebrity following Charlene White’s exit

Princess Anne will not only be watching her son-in-law Mike Tindall take part on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! but from the sounds of things, she’ll be loving it.

The rugby player made history being the camp’s first ever royal, as he joins the likes of Lioness Jill Scott, pop icon Boy George and former health secretary Matt Hancock.

While it was previously reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be ‘very upset’ about his actions on the reality show, a royal expert has now claimed Princess Anne, who is the younger sister of King Charles III will be enjoying the jungle stint.

Mike married his wife Zara Phillips in July 2011, after he proposed two years before, with the couple now sharing three children: Mia, eight, Lena, four, and Lucas, one.

Zara is very stern, but also one of the most natural people within the family unit: ‘She will laugh, she will joke and I think she’d probably find his antics in the jungle quite funny. I don’t think she will be offended in the least about the underpants story.

‘She probably won’t watch every night but she’s very close to her children and I imagine she will want to know what’s going on so she can share the experience with Zara.’

This comes after Mike revealed a hilarious moment he almost gave his mother-in-law a cheeky glimpse of his Crown Jewels, after splitting his trousers at a party. ‘I love a suit. My problem with suits is I over exaggerate dancing at weddings… I rip a lot of suits, trousers and stuff,’ he began, before comedian Seann Walsh laughed: ‘Course you do.’

‘The old slut drop gets me every time,’ Mike continued, in a sentence we never thought he would say on national TV. ‘I went to a wedding, ripped a suit, they were like, “Oh my God, what are you going to do?” I was like, “Don’t worry I’ve got a spare.” They were like, “Who brings a spare suit?” Someone who rips a lot of trousers brings a spare suit.

Mike went on to recall the time he was dancing with Princess Anne at wife Zara Phillips’ 30th birthday – and things went from bad to worse. ‘It was a disco 70s themed party, I was dancing on the dancefloor, I had like, flares on, full outfit, but it was quite tight, nothing ever fits – rugby player’s bum and legs – so I was dancing with my mother-in-law and I did a slut drop in front of my mother-in-law.’

A stunned Seann in the Bush Telegraph said: ‘Mike slut dropped in front of Princess Anne and that is not the end of the story… that’s already, what are you thinking?’

Mike continued: ‘Ripped my trousers, straight in front of her. It happened to be that my boxers that I had on at that time said, “nibble my nuts”. ‘As I’ve turned round, she’s gone, “I’d rather not. I’ve gone, I’m going”, and walked off.’ Who knows what wild royal story Mike will reveal next?

Friends told MarkMeets.com that Sue Cleaver’s ‘Coronation Street’ co-stars have “been loving” her on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here’.

Last night Charlene White exits I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The 42-year-old broadcaster has become the first camp mate on this year’s series to be voted off the ITV show by members of the public.

After her fate was confirmed, Charlene said: “It’s been a journey and I absolutely loved living with those guys – they were brilliant.”

During her time in the jungle, Matt Hancock – the former health secretary – was questioned about his affair during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Reflecting on the awkward conversation, Charlene said: “I have to remain impartial as journalism is my first job.”

Matt, 44, resigned as health secretary after news of the affair emerged, and it’s something that he’s been reminded of during his time in the jungle.

Earlier in the episode, Boy George admitted that he was struggling to look past Matt’s behaviour during the pandemic.

He said: “Can’t stand Matt. I have tried to like him and I’ve failed. I find him slimy, I find him slippery.”

The 61-year-old star also confronted Matt about his frustrations.

He told the politician: “I’ll be honest with you, I think your presence has made everyone very compliant.”

Matt then said: “Compliant, it’s a funny word.”

The pop star subsequently tried to clarify his feelings.

He explained: “I have been hating on you, I have to be honest. I sometimes feel like you don’t say what you mean and you’re not particularly direct.”

The ‘Karma Chameleon’ hitmaker admitted that he struggled to draw a distinction between Matt’s political past and the man that he’s met in the jungle.

He shared: “I’m trying to separate you as a human being and you as a politician and I’m struggling with it. We don’t share the same politics.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
