Sharon Osbourne rejects X Factor return rumours

Sharon Osbourne will not be returning to The X Factor in 2014, despite persistent rumours that she’s thinking of giving it another go.

The flame-haired 61-year-old made a comeback to the talent competition last year for her fifth outing, going on to secure her first ever win with Sam Bailey.

While it was airing, Sharon confirmed that she had only rejoined for one more series as a last hurrah – but although she has officially left the show, bookies have slashed odds on her doing a u-turn.

However, according to The Sun, she has now rubbished the claims – with a X Factor source adding that she’s not being considered for this year’s run.

Mrs O as said: “I cannot go there… I can’t.”

Meanwhile, the insider commented: “Last year was seen as Sharon’s last hurrah. She isn’t in consideration for this year’s show.”

Sharon has already committed to her American daytime chat show The Talk, which tapes four days a week.

So far, only Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole have been confirmed for the 2014 panel, although it’s believed that X Factor stalwart Louis Walsh is close to signing a deal.

Sharon has backed Cole’s return, gushing: “Cheryl is fantastic — she’ll be great for the show. She is always great back with Simon. She will do a great job.”

Auditions for The X Factor’s eleventh series will begin next month.

MarkMeets would love to see Pixie Lott, Olly Murs, Demi Lovato, Ellie Goulding, Bruno Mars or Michel Buble on the panel!
