Tamera Foster put her recent lyric-forgetting troubles behind her as she made her bid for a place in the X Factor semi-final with a duo of very different songs.
The teenage singer – one of five remaining acts in the 2013 series – defied her critics with her word-perfect performances of Rihanna’s We Found Love and the Roberta Flack ballad The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face.
And any reservations the judges had about her prior to Saturday night appeared to disappear as they heaped praise on her performances.
‘You have had a fantastic night,’ Gary Barlow told her.
‘If we fast forward five years I think you may possibly be the most successful contestant from this year…you have a massive future in front of you.’
Meanwhile Sharon Osbourne added: ‘Welcome to the race, you are back!’
The 16-year-old is the bookies’ favourite to be eliminated this weekend after forgetting her words three times during the series – most recently last weekend when she tackled the James Arthur hit Impossible.
However she revealed on the show that she has spent time with a hypnotist this week in order to try and conquer her nerves.
News of the treatment was reported in The Sun earlier, with the paper claiming that Simon Cowell had personally ordered she undergo hypnosis to prevent any further lyric mishaps.
‘As far as Simon is concerned Tamera is the star and she can have whatever special treatment she needs,’ a source told the paper.
‘He hates the fact she’s been forgetting her lines, it’s so unprofessional.’
MarkMeets’ predicts Tamera will be voted off Sunday night and Luke Friend will be in tht bottom two also.
