The Jump 2016 TV news line up: Brian McFadden and Linford Christie have reportedly signed up
Former Olympic sprinter Linford Christie and Westlife singer Brian McFadden have reportedly signed up for The Jump 2016.
The 3rd series filmed in the Austrian Alps will once again air on Channel 4. The popular reality winter sports TV series show will in the New Year, seeing celebs take on a range of alpine disciplines including ski jumping.
Linford was the first name to be rumoured for the new line up with The Sun newspaper saying he’ll make for “superb TV” even if he may not take to the slopes that well.
“He’s incredibly competitive and has an unbelievable will to win. But being a brilliant athlete doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll be great on the slopes as it’s a completely different discipline,” a source told the newspaper today.
They explained: “The Jump has had sportsmen in the past and they haven’t always done that well.
“Either way, Linford’s a great personality and will make superb TV.
“Lots of reality shows have tried to get him in the past and Channel 4 have managed it so they are very happy.”
Westlife singer Brian McFadden will also be joining the line up for the third series in 2016.
Linford, Brian and the other celebs will be taking on quite the challenge as The Jump has become notorious for causing very nasty injuries.

In last year’s series, eventually won by TOWIE’s Joey Essex, Ola Jordan was rushed to hospital after a nasty leg injury in training before the show even began, leaving her on crutches for months and in need of surgery.
In the first series singer Joe McElderry won hdespite aving not even been in the original line up (He replaced an injured Henry Conway).
