The Voice 2014 judges remain quiet on their return

The Voice UK coaches Will.i.am and Kylie Minogue have refused to commit to another series.

While the BBC has confirmed that the show will air until at least 2016, exactly who will be on the panel is still up in the air.

In a chat with Alan Carr on Channel 4 tonight, Will.i.am avoids saying anything about returning for what would be a fourth series, saying instead of this year’s show: “The cast is fantastic.

“I love the nice banter and warmth this series.”

Speaking about former coaches Jessie J and Danny O’Donoghue, Will adds: “I enjoyed them but I just love Kylie and Ricky.”

Meanwhile, Kylie has been similarly coy about her return in an interview with Good Housekeeping magazine.

“My ambition this year is to keep my feeling of excitement going, as last year was very difficult in lots of ways,” the Aussie popstar said. “I really feel like 2014 is the year to reach out. That’s what I want to do, whether that’s The Voice, going on tour or new songs. I just want to deliver and share those things with my audience.”

It had been reported that Kylie was set to meet with show bosses this week to agree a new contract.

“They are going to go all out to get Kylie to sign up,” an insider said. “A pay rise is almost certain.”

And as for Ricky Wilson, he’ll only be back if Kylie is!

“We have known each other for such a long time,” he said last month. “She is one of the reasons why I did it and one of the reasons why I’d stay. People like the show — they like the chemistry.”

The Voice UK concludes tomorrow night on BBC One with the live final.
