Three former stars of The Voice UK have come together to form a new girl band.
Singer Sophie May Williams made the live shows in 2014 along with Georgia Harrup while Katie Benbow made it through to the battle rounds in 2013’s series.

Lipstick fuelled, sky-high heeled beat brunettes, The Northenettes retrofit the classic sounds and styles of the 50’s and 60’s to the 21st century; sleek, shiny songs that will get into your head and then orbit your mind for days to come.
Now the trio have formed The Northernettes, a group that say puts a spin the classic sounds and styles of the 50’s and 60’s for the 21st century.
“Sleek, shiny songs that will get into your head and then orbit your mind for days to come,” raves the girls’ official website.
This week the group have released their very first single together, Let’s Go, and have already got the support of The Voice UK host Emma Willis.
“What a fab idea. A group born from @BBCTheVoiceUK good luck you gorgeous girls x,” she tweeted the trio.
The Northernettes – Let’s go
The Northernettes’ Georgia said: “We are fun, we’re fresh, we’re lively and all love music.”
Katie commented: “We really love what we do, we believe in who we are as a band.”
And Sophie added: “We all have completely different tastes in music, we’re unique and individual and we’re not naff, we’re actually good.”
