What tv shows are filmed live?

We love a live TV gaff but why what features and shows are filmed live?

We’re not talking filmed live in-front of a studio audience and aired at a later date.

There are several television shows that are filmed live, meaning that they are broadcast in real time as they are being recorded, with no opportunity to edit or fix mistakes. Here are a few examples of TV shows that are filmed live:

  1. News programs: Many news programs, such as CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360” and Fox News’ “The Five,” are filmed live in order to stay current and provide the most up-to-date information to viewers.
  2. Talk shows: Many talk shows, such as “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” and “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” are filmed live in order to capture the energy and spontaneity of the host and guests.
  3. Award shows: Many award shows, such as the Academy Awards and the Emmy Awards, are filmed live in order to capture the excitement and anticipation of the winners and nominees.
  4. Sports broadcasts: Many sports broadcasts, such as NFL football games and NBA basketball games, are filmed live in order to capture the action and excitement of the game as it happens.
  5. Game shows: Some game shows, such as “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” and “Jeopardy!,” are filmed live in order to capture the excitement and intensity of the competition.

It’s worth noting that although these shows are filmed live, they often involve some level of pre-production, such as rehearsals, and may also include edits or additions after the fact, such as the addition of graphics or commercials.
