‘A Beautiful Noise, The Neil Diamond Musical’ to launch North American tour

The tour will launch from Rhode Island’s Providence Performing Arts Center in the fall of 2024. A full list of cities and dates will be announced, along with casting.

The So good, so good, so good bio-musical, which tells the story of Grammy-winning artist Neil Diamond, opened on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre on Dec. 4, 2022. It features a book by Anthony McCarten and a score consisting of song from Diamond’s catalog.

The telling of the legendary Neil Diamond comes to life on stage in an uplifting new musical featuring all his hit songs, including “Sweet Caroline,” “America,” and “Cracklin’ Rosie.” From those exhilarating early days in New York to the sold-out spectacles that defined his career, A Beautiful Noise explores the life of a rock icon through the music that made him “a national treasure” (Los Angeles Times).

Directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening, Hedwig and the Angry Inch), choreographed by Olivier Award winner Steven Hoggett (Once, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), and written by four-time Academy Award nominee Anthony McCarten (Bohemian Rhapsody, The Two Popes), A Beautiful Noise is a thrilling look at an artist’s search for himself and a celebration of the enduring power of his music.

“Some of my most thrilling nights have been while I was on tour, bringing my music to audiences across the world,” Diamond said in a statement. “Having ‘A Beautiful Noise’ go on tour is an honor, and I can’t wait for audiences across North America to experience this show. I hope they enjoy it as much as I have.”

The tour will be produced by Ken Davenport, Bob Gaudio and NETworks Presentations. The Broadway production is produced by Davenport and Gaudio.
