Back To The Future The Musical new West End cast announced

A new cast is set to join smash-hit West End musical Back To The Future The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre in London.

Joining the cast from 16 August 2023 will be Sarah Goggin (Sister Act, Aladdin, Bad Girls) as ‘Lorraine Baines’, alongside Jay Perry as ‘Goldie Wilson’, Jordan Pearson as ‘Biff Tannen’, Lee Ormsby as ‘Strickland’, Rhodri Watkins as ‘Dave McFly’, Patricia Wilkins as ‘Linda McFly’, Elliott Evans as Alternate ‘Marty McFly’ and Stephen Leask as Alternate ‘Doctor Emmett Brown’.

Staying with the production are the show’s current stars Cory English as ‘Doctor Emmett Brown’, Ben Joyce as ‘Marty McFly’, Oliver Nicholas as ‘George McFly’ and Sophie Naglik as ‘Jennifer Parker’.

New to the ensemble will be Ella Beaumont, Alexander Day, Reece Darlington-Delaire, Helen Gulston, Matthew Ives, Connor Lewis, Louis Quinn, Grace Swaby-Moore and Alexandra Wright, joining Sia Dauda, Dylan Gordon-Jones, Adam Margilewski, Bryan Mottram, Laura Mullowney, Anna Murray, Georgia Tapp and Tavio Wright.

Leaving the show will be Amber Davies, who currently stars as ‘Lorraine Baines’, and is off to join the cast of the Pretty Woman The Musical UK tour.

Back to the Future picked up the 2022 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, and is based on the much-loved 1980s movie starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd. Musically, it features the songs from the movie including The Power Of Love by Huey Lewis and The News, Johnny B. Goode, Earth Angel and Mr Sandman, plus original songs by Ghost composer Glen Ballard and the movie’s original composer Alan Silvestri

The show is written by Bob Gale, and directed by Tony Award-winning director John Rando (Urinetown, On The Town). The wider creative team includes Tim Hatley (set and costume design), Hugh Vanstone (lighting), Gareth Owen (sound), Finn Ross (video), Chris Bailey (choreography), Paul Kieve (illusions), Nick Finlow (musical supervision and vocal arrangements), Ethan Popp (orchestrations), and David Chase (dance arrangements).

Back to the Future The Musical has been playing at the Adelphi Theatre in London since September 2021, and started performances last month on Broadway starring London’s original Doc Brown, Roger Bart. The Broadway show officially opens at the Winter Garden Theatre on 25 July.

The show is now booking in London to 11 February 2024.
