Daniel Bedingfield and Heidi Range make West End debut

Daniel Bedingfield and former Sugababes popstar Heidi Range made their West End debut in Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds.

The new production opened tonight for a limited run at the Dominion Theatre next month, starring Jimmy Nail as Parson Nathaniel (also his West End debut).

Heidi retweeted “Here we go! Girl Power”.

Heidi Range told MarkMeets back in 2014 “I really want to do a West end show, that’s my next goal-to have my name up outside a West End theatre”.

Joining them will be West End stars Michael Praed (The Sound of Music) as George Herbert, Madalena Alberto (Evita) as Carrie and David Essex as The Voice of Humanity. Liam Neeson will make an onscreen appearance as The Journalist.

The interval at The War of the Worlds saw the wall of sound blow all cobwebs away!

It was a great production though Liam’s mic was not too good.

Completing one of the starriest casts we’ve seen debut on the West End in some time will be the legendary David Essex – returning to The War of the Worlds for the first time since he recorded the original double album.

It was a great show and is highly recommended.

Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds, produced by Bill Kenwright, features the iconic score played live on stage by his Black Smoke Band alongside ULLAdubULLA string orchestra.

Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds is currently booking at London’s Dominion Theatre between 8 February – 30 April
