More Musicals join West End Live line-up for 2018

Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, Strictly Ballroom and Chicago are among the new shows announced in the line-up for this year’s West End Live.

The FREE event, which is organised by Westminster City Council and the Society of London Theatre, will take place in London’s Trafalgar Square on June 16 and 17.

Other shows to take part this year include Eugenius!, Brief Encounter, Little Shop Of Horrors, Heathers the Musical, Knights Of the Rose, Six, Circolombia, Madagascar – A Musical Adventure, and Kiss Me, Kate.

The line-up will also see the return of shows including The Lion King, Wicked, Les Miserables, Dreamgirls, Bat Out Of Hell the Musical and Kinky Boots, Mamma Mia!, The Phantom Of The Opera, Disney’s Aladdin.

Julian Bird, chief executive of SOLT and UK Theatre, said: “We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with the City of Westminster to bring the casts of London’s great shows to Trafalgar Square, giving theatre fans the chance to see exclusive performances for free. West End Live is a unique celebration of our world-leading theatre industry, and this year promises to be as diverse and entertaining as ever.”

Other shows in the line-up include Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Matilda the Musical, A Spoonful of Sherman and Thriller Live.

West End LIVE is a free weekend of musical theatre live in Trafalgar Square on 16th & 17th June 2018.
