Moulin Rouge! The Musical Welcomes New London Cast
The London production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical is gearing up for an exciting change as it welcomes a new cast starting on October 16, 2023. This development brings fresh talent to the iconic show, and fans can look forward to experiencing the magic once again.
New Leading Roles
Two exceptional talents will take center stage in this production. Tanisha Spring, who recently showcased her talent in Groundhog Day at the Old Vic, will play the role of Satine. Alongside her, Dom Simpson, known for his appearance in The Book of Mormon, will step into the co-lead role of Christian.
Director Alex Timbers expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It is so exciting to announce today that Tanisha Spring and Dom Simpson will lead our company of Moulin Rouge! The Musical in London into its third year.” He went on to praise Simpson, highlighting his abilities as a musical theater performer and his potential to infuse wit, warmth, and deep emotion into the character of Christian. Timbers also expressed delight in welcoming back Tanisha Spring, acknowledging her immense talent and star power. Her return to the show in the role of Satine is seen as a significant blessing.
Continuity in Key Roles
Several members of the cast will continue their roles, ensuring continuity and a seamless transition for the audience. Matt Rixon will reprise his role as Harold Zidler, Ian Carlyle will portray Toulouse-Lautrec, and Ben Richards will return as The Duke.
Joining them are Ivan De Freitas as Santiago and Charlotte Gooch as Nini. Additionally, Anthony Cragg will continue with the cast but step into the role of Baby Doll. The cast will also feature Hannah Jay-Allan as Arabia, Rochelle Sherona in the role of Arabia (maternity cover), Bernadette Bangura as La Chocolat, and Angela Marie Hurst as Alternate Satine.

Wicked Unveils Its UK & Ireland Tour Cast
The beloved musical Wicked is set to enchant audiences across the UK and Ireland in its 2023 tour, and the full cast has been revealed.
Stellar Leading Roles
Taking on the iconic roles of Glinda and Elphaba are Sarah O’Connor and Laura Pick, respectively. These two talented actresses will lead the cast in bringing the enchanting world of Oz to life.
Fresh Additions to the Cast
The production introduces new cast members, enhancing the experience for theatergoers. The newly announced additions include Donna Berlin as Madame Morrible, Jed Berry as Boq, Megan Gardiner as Nessarose, and Casey Al-Shaqsy as the Standby for Elphaba.
Previously announced lead roles feature Carl Man as Fiyero and Simeon Truby as The Wizard and Doctor Dillamond.
Completing the cast for the UK tour are Thomas Charles, Julie Cloke, Charlotte Coggin, Freddie Conway, Áine Curran, Jade Davies, Kamau Davis, Russell Dickson, Maddison Firth, Lydia Gerrard, James Gower-Smith, Shoko Ito, Holly Lawrence, Nick Len, Stephanie Lindo, Will Lucas, Will Luckett, Rozz Mbwembwe, Georgia McElwee, Conor O’Hara, Shereen Osman, Stuart Rouse, Christina Shand, Adam Stickler, and Frazer Woolcott.
Continuing West End Success
It’s worth noting that several members of the cast, including Laura Pick, Carl Man, Simeon Truby, Nick Len, and Will Lucas, have previously graced the stage in the West End production of Wicked. The show continues its open-ended run at London’s Apollo Victoria Theatre, where it is celebrating its remarkable 18th year.

The Magic of Wicked
Wicked, based on the novel by Gregory Maguire and featuring music by Stephen Schwartz and a script by Winnie Holzman, reimagines the backstory and future of the beloved characters from L. Frank Baum’s ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.’ The musical unveils the decisions and events that shape the destinies of two unlikely university friends, who eventually become ‘Glinda The Good’ and the ‘Wicked Witch of the West.’
With a global audience of 65 million and celebrating its 20th Anniversary of its Broadway premiere in 2023, Wicked continues to captivate audiences.
