Cabaret performances often feature a variety of styles, including jazz, blues, and pop music, as well as dance styles such as tap, burlesque, and modern.

The cast recording will feature the original London cast of Rebecca Frecknall’s acclaimed production of Cabaret, including the Olivier-winning performances of Eddie Redmayne as The Emcee and Jessie Buckley as Sally Bowles.

The full cast album was released on 20 January 2023 and we’ll include a copy too.

The original cast of the show, which opened in December last year, also included Omari Douglas as Cliff Bradshaw, Liza Sadovy as Fraulein Schneider, Elliot Levey as Herr Schultz, Stewart Clarke as Ernst Ludwig, and Anna-Jane Casey as Fraulein Kost with Josh Andrews, Emily Benjamin, Sally Frith, Matthew Gent, Emma Louise Jones, Ela Lisondra, Theo Maddix, Chris O’Mara, Daniel Perry, Andre Refig, Christopher Tendai, Bethany Terry, Lillie-Pearl Wildman, and Sophie Maria Wojna.Winner of seven Olivier Awards, Cabaret is now playing at the Kit Kat Club in London starring Callum Scott Howells as Emcee and Madeline Brewer as Sally Bowles, alongside Sid Sagar as Cliff Bradshaw, Vivien Parry as Fraulein Schneider, Richard Katz as Herr Schultz, Danny Mahoney as Ernst Ludwig and Michelle Bishop as Fraulein Kost.Cabaret is one of the most successful musicals of all time, and features legendary songs from Kander and Ebb including Wilkommen, Don’t Tell Mama, Mein Herr, Maybe This Time, Money and the title number.

Cabaret has a long and storied history, with roots in the cultural and artistic movements of the 19th and early 20th centuries. It was particularly popular in Germany, France, and the United States during the 1920s and 1930s, and has continued to be an influential and popular form of entertainment to this day.

Cabaret has music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, a book by Joe Masteroff, and is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood. This production is directed by Rebecca Frecknall, with set and costume design is by Tom Scutt with choreography by Julia Cheng. Musical supervision by Jennifer Whyte and musical direction by Ben Ferguson with lighting design by Isabella Byrd and sound design by Nick Lidster. The casting director is Stuart Burt and the associate director is Jordan Fein.

The current cast of Cabaret performed on last years Royal Variety Performance 2022, which was screen by ITV1.
